Catching up
Well I sat here the other night and typed for an hour or more trying to get caught up. Well I really goofed up, I spell checked, I previewed and forgot to publish.
All that time and effort gone to waste through stupidity.
I am going to get caught up here. I doubt I will cover s much as I did before but will get the gist of it in here.
I seem to have turned a new point in my illness and more energy and more desire to get up and do something has appeared.
I am walking some each day and doing stuff around the house that had not been done since we moved in 10 months ago.
April came after me and we went to see "A Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy", it was very funny and surprisingly enjoyable. There were some parts I felt were sac religious, but otherwise it was good.
Scott, a sort of adopted son to Ernie is n\in the Navy and has been assigned to the USS Eisenhower. He wants his wife to move to Norfolk and has asked us to rent his house from him.
If April is able to move in with us, we will move, otherwise, we will remain where we are.
The house is virtually brand new and would give us all plenty of room and it is close to Cove Lake, that is a plus.
I have also had my ultimate meal, I bought some white half-runners and fresh corn, cucumbers and tomatoes.
Broke the beans shucked the corn and strung and broke the beans.
We had fried corn, green beans with onion, cucumber tomato ans hot pepper garnishing the beans and a hot cornbread. Man it was fantastic.
That pretty much covers the past few days and I will try to stay caught up here.

Back again
Well it has been a while since writing anything here. I have been all caught up in trying to learn html and on our website.
Sometimes I think maybe I am trying to learn too many things at once, but it gives me relief from one project to the next. Sometimes you just keep making the same mistake over and over. Although I get really frustrated at times over my learning curve, I have not given up and am plugging away.
Ernie wants me to set up a blog for him, so he can rant about some of the things that drive him crazy or sadden him. Once I get him setup I WILL LINK TO HIS SITE AND YOU CAN check him out.
Man, if I could type, things would go a whole lot faster and I would not have to spend so much time correcting typos.
The problem is that spellcheck does not let you know if you have used the wrong word.
Yesterday, I was looking at an email Ernie was preparing and noticed it was addressed to "Gays and Gals"
Errors like that are hard to catch.
On to other stuff, I am still eating like a pig.
Food just taste so good now and I do not get sick when I EAT.
I have gained 4 pounds in the past month, at that rate I will gain 50 pounds in a year.
That I cannot allow to happen, been fat before and do not have any desire to be fat again.
I got a letter from tenncare the other day and they are limiting me to 5 prescriptions a month.
Now, instead of dying a slow fairly comfortable death.
I am going to die a slow uncomfortable one.

Have a safe and happy 4th
Mood:
happy
Hope everyone is having fun and enjoying the holiday. Eat a hot dog for me.
I am trying to learn html and it is addictive, I want to sit for hours and hours making web pages and erasing them and trying again.
For some reason I have my days and nights turned around, I sleep all or most of the day and stay up all night, straining what is left of my eyes on this computer.
Well at least it keeps me out of trouble.

Another month just disappeared
I find it hard to believe that this is July 1. Times seem to pass so quickly, Just the other day I forgot to take my blood pressure and when I opened my log, the other day was 8 days ago.
Lately I have been working constantly on Ernie's website:
Religous Address Labels.
In fact I have actually stayed up over 24 hours, because I am getting so engrossed in my project.
I have found some fantastic animations on patriotism and christianity, you should check them out.
I tried to sit outside a few times this week, but it has been so humid, it was hard for me to breathe.
I have watched the news a bit, almost like a soap opera, the same stories are running even if you miss a few days. One new bit was the resignation of Sandra Day O'Connor. Ted Kennedy has already come out against whoever PresidentBush picks.
I think it is time to use the nuclear option as it is called and end their use of filibuster on confirmation votes. Their constant diatribe about advise and consent is true , to a point, they should investigate the candidates, but it does not mean they have the right to prevent an up or down vote.

Time to catch up
Mood:
smelly
Well I do believe I missed posting yesterday. That is not the way I want to handle this site. UNLESS i MAKE IT A PART OF MY ROUTINE, This will be a waste of time.
I know what I need to do, make an entry to my little journal here every day after I take my blood pressure. Maybe I would remember to take it that way.
I ended up sleeping most of the day yesterday and stayed up all night and as of 1 o'clock I am still up, my back hurts,my sciatica is bothering me, I am somewhat nauseated, and I am in dire need of a shower.
My roommate, Ernie was up all night as well, he has a friend on third shift at one of the c-stores around here. We rode down there around midnight to see him and kill some time. Ernie has been going there most nights and coming home with donuts. Jelly Donuts, one of my true weaknesses. If you bring them to me I will eat them and eat them and ... well you get the idea.
I was consuming so many I asked my buddy to quit bringing them home to me. He agreed that we needed to cut back. So what happens last night, we had no more walked in to the store, when Marty held out a box of donuts for us. Of course, we ate them. You cannot let them go to waist(pun..ha.ha..).
We splurged this morning and went to "Cracker Barrel" for breakfast, I had hoped that eating a big breakfast would make me sleepy, obviously it did not work.
A few minutes ago a commercial for Vonage came on the TV,they have the most annoying background music or racket I have ever heard. It is my practice to mute the TV whenever it comes on. I can assure you of one thing they will never get my business.
Speaking of commercials Vehix.com had a little man dressed up like a monitor and I really enjoyed his work, now they have changed and he is gone.
I was amazed yesterday listening to the "BTK" killer relate how he murdered and raped his victims in the same tone as you would announcing the mail had arrived or that you were taking out the garbage. He had no emotion, it seemed at times as if he were bragging.
I know the proceedings of advise and consent will be ludicrous but I am hoping some of the Supreme Court justices retire. Several of them need to go,why do they want to stay in power, when the are in their late 70's or older. The keyword is power.
It is obvious they have lost all understanding of the constitution, last week they gave the government the right to take your property at the governments whim, as long as they say it will increase the tax base. They said one courthouse in Texas could keep the "Ten Commandments" and one in Kentucky could not.
They divined this brilliant ruling by stating that the intent of of whoever put them there was the deciding factor. How do they know what the intent of either was.
In addition they ruled that software purveyors could be sued for copyright infringement.
That is like saying if I post hate mail here, that the manufacturer of my computer would be liable.
If you drive your car into a crowd and kill some people or injure them, the car company is liable. All of these rulings to me are reprehensible and show very plainly that we need change on the court.
Oh, Last night I was sitting here watching TV and one heck of a storm came through, thunder, lightening, driving rain and strong winds. So strong that it actually blew our door open. It only lasted maybe 10 to 15 minutes, but it was wild for a while.

You never know
Mood:
not sure
I left off here at about 1:30am, and instead of sleeping, I ended up at WallyWorld at 3 in the morning. Ernie could not sleep either.
I needed some celery, green pepper, and onion for the potato salad I was going to make and got a new vegatable peeler and some other kitchen stuff.Ernie bought some things he needed and we headed home and to bed again.
I ate some raisin bran and thought I would soon nod off; instead I ended up just lying here until sometime after 5.
When I finally got up, I knocked on Ernie's door to get him up, but he was notgoing to, he was having a roughntime of it and so he has been in bed all day, and I have been fooling around on the computer.
By the way, I made the potato salad and it is really good.
Later.

Mood:
a-ok
I want to add to this every day, but I almost forgot today. Technically it is Saturday, but I won't tell if you don't.
Ernie and I went up to the Cove Lake area to visit with his son and daughter-in-law. I had taken Coreg just before we left and fely almost sick. I get that way every morning when I take it. Oddly I take the same dose at night and it does not seem to have any effect.
Anyway we got up there and when we went inside animals surrounded us two cats and two Jack Russell terriers. I really like one of the terriers, her name is Gracie, can't remember the others name. In the backyard, they had a chow and German shepherd.
I remembered the shepherd from last summer when he was just a puppy. He is a sweet dog too.
Ernie's favorite is a chow, I cannot stand them, but I guess that is one reason God made so many different breeds.
We ate and sat around talking and watching the terriers play and get jealous if they felt the other was getting too much attention.
One thong I forgot( I know I misspelled "thing")we stopped at the store on our way up and got something to drink. I got a slushy type drink in a fancy orange plastic cup with VOLS on it.
Showing how stupid II can be sometimes, I filled the cup too full, tried to put the wrong lid on and had Wild Cherry slushy running all down the sides of the cup and all over the counter. Fortunately there was a towel on the counter, so I was able to fix my mess :)
After we got home I started working on
Ernie'sWeb Site
I started setting up an associate site for Amazon, trying to pick some good or inspirational books. If you have any thoughts, leave me a comment.
I also started putting up some inspirational sayings and Bible verses suitable for Downloading. We want this site to be a place people of faith can and will return to periodically to see what is new, and maybe, sometimes, buy something.
Oh, if you visit the site and want to link to it, please do and I will in turn link to you.
I guess I better get some sleep, I have to make some potato salad and get ready for a BBQ tomorrow. I will let you knowhow it went.
Good night

1:30 in the morning
Mood:
energetic
Well I fell asleep around 8:30 this evening and slept for a couple of hours. I woke up full of energy and ready to do something. So I made a ssalad and ate it.
Then I started to work on my roommates website
Ernie's site
I also started studying how to write xhtml, I hadv wanted to learns for years, but I never seemed to have time or patience. I have plenty of both now. I have always been interested in computers. I even went to computer school in 1968, never found a job, but it was fun.
My first computer was from radio shack and I ddearly loved it, that is until I had my first one built. It was a powerful 386dx40. It was blazing fast compared to what I was accustomed to using. More later.

Now what was I thinking?
Mood:
a-ok
It must be nice to have a brain that works, every time I think of something to write about, I forget it before I can get here.
How bad is it for kids today? The 11 yo boy lost in Utah hid from searchers because he had been told not to talk to strangers. It would have been a real tragedy if he had died because of this fear.
They are now showing a press conference with his family and with him, the poor kid appears to be very uncomfortable , mostly just standing with his head down. I think they should have waited a few days for him to recover, before throwing him to the press.
The kid has been through a very rough 4 days and he is still not ready for such attention, he just sinking lower and lower trying to disappear from scrutiny.
Is it not ironic we ask Mexico to stop the exodus of their citizens and they ignore us, we ask them to send us one of their countrymen accused of murdering a police officer and they refuse.
I just do not understand why we do not close the borders with Mexico. If we do not,I fear we will be attacked again. We are also bankrupting the country trying to provide schooling and health care and other services to people that have no legal Right to be here. We should put every illegal in a detention facility when we catch one until we have a bus load and return them to their country of origin.
I just do not see how anyone entering this country illegally has any rights.
Conversely we have the case of a woman that married her husband in the Ukraine, I think, her husband went to Iraq to help in rebuilding that country and since they had been married less than two years she is going to be deported. Does this make any sense?

Tuesday a boring day
Mood:
down
Well I have managed to sleep away another day. It is so aggravating to get tired from doing almost nothing. I have all these things that I want to do floating around in my head, but cannot find the energy to do most.
Last night I cleaned the microwave(a major chore)
Ernie my roommate has been feeling even worse lately. He has prostate cancer and all of the drugs he is on and the morphine he takes every day just leaves him without any energy.
He is totally opposite to me. I am fairly quiet and shy, he is gregarious, and never meets a stranger. I know one thing for sure he has a lot of friends and I have just a few.It is much better to have a lot of friends.
We had a really bad storm blow through here yesterday evening,no damage done, but lots of thunder and lightening and hail. It appears we may get another storm soon, but I haven't seen any notice in the weather. As you know this is my first attempt at this and I see it tuning into an on line journal. If you have any questions about me or would be interested in knowing my feelings about any subjectemail larrywledford@yahoo.com.
