Hello Friends,
I was born on May 29, 1951 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. Shortly
thereafter we moved to Atlanta, Georgia when my father accepted employment by TVA.
We returned to Tennessee a year later, moving to Oak Ridge where my father worked
at X-10 ORNL. We moved to Knoxville in 1959 and I lived there until I joined the air force in 1969.
After training as a medical technician, I was assigned to the Azores for 15 months.
On my return to the states I was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base as permanent party. Worked off base for 2 years at the
Bexar County Ambulance Service. It was owned by a retired air force vet. I in 1973 I returned to Knoxville.
I had quit attending church while in the service, because I objected to the chaplains
wearing military uniforms. That was just an excuse.
For the next 29 years nothing eventful occurred.
In 2002, I went for a physical and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I only
had the physical because I was living at The Steps House inc. and they required everyone take a physical.
This non- profit organization started by Patrick White to help homeless vets who
needed assistance getting off of alcohol, drugs or other problems. This is why I am still here today.
I was in the Steps House trying to get my life back together. I had ran out of
relatives and friends willing to give me a place to live.
I thank God,every day, that he came back into my life and I discovered what I
had been missing.
Now God is in my life everyday 24 hours a day. Every minute of the day is lived
for a most gracious God.
I went to live at the domiciliary located on the grounds of the Mountain Home
James H. Quillen hospital complex.
by April 0f 2003 the cancer had spread to the humerus in my right arm.
Fortunately I have now been able to move into a small apartment with a friend
and spend my days praising God.
I am now offering address labels or bible verses to use on your letters or anything
else you desire. I now just praise my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your purchases in support of this label ministry.
